We have a comprehensive programme full of competitions (Digital projection and Print), presentations and tutorials by a range of photographers and imaging experts. We also run practical evenings that are held once a month on a Monday.

A Brief History
Yateley Camera Club came into being from evening classes organized by Hampshire County Council. The tutor, Francis Spooner, taught both Beginners Photography and Advanced Photography. A number of the students developed friendships and rejoined the evening classes each year. In 1974 Francis and David Watts (The Warden of the Centre) arranged an inaugural meeting of the students with financial help from the School. Yateley Camera Club was born. Roland Portsmouth was elected our first Chairman and right from the start cultivated the friendly atmosphere that still exists today. Francis Spooner was elected President, a post still held today. A membership of 60-70 has been maintained for many years.
The club has a current membership of around 80 members, and this is really the maximum comfortable capacity level at our club meeting venue is able to accommodate. Membership turnover each year is typically low at around seven members a year.
For those who still wish to join Yateley Camera Club we have a waiting-list, please send an email to the membership secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org for the current status of the waiting-list and to have your name added to the list.
