A Little History
Founded in 1974, the club grew from a group of keen photographers
attending portraiture evening classes run by Hampshire County
Council. That shared passion continues to bring people together
today.


When & Where We Meet
We meet every Wednesday evening, 7:45–10:00pm, from
September through May at:
The Tythings, Reading Road, Yateley, GU46 7RP

During the summer months (June–August), we switch things up with a
flexible programme of outings and events.

Summer Programme (June–August)
Our summer schedule is all about getting out and shooting:
● Local evening walks and photo outings
● Trips to exciting locations like London, Windsor, and Oxford
● Special experiences such as:
● Street photography sessions
● Birds of prey photography
● Steam trains at Ropley
● Gliders at Lasham Airfield
Many events are open to non-members too—perfect for trying us out.
We’re always open to fresh ideas for new locations!

Focus Meetings (Online)
Held on the second Tuesday of each month via Zoom, these
relaxed sessions are a great way to:
● Share your photos in a supportive environment
● Receive constructive feedback
● Learn what judges look for
● Explore different themes and techniques


Hands-On Learning
Throughout the year, we run practical evenings covering:
● Camera skills and techniques
● Post-processing tips
● Macro photography
● Mounting and framing your work


Special Interest Groups
Dive deeper into the styles you love:
● Street photography
● Sports
● Creative photography
● Landscape
● Night photography


Showcase Your Work
Annual Exhibition
The highlight of the year—share your best images with around 700
visitors.
Community Events
We regularly exhibit at Yateley’s May Fair and Christmas Market,
where we also give back by offering free family portraits in our pop-up
studio.
Sell Your Photography
Members can display and sell prints locally, including at Café 46 and
Fleet Library.


Competitions & Recognition
We actively participate in regional competitions through:
● Southern Counties Photographic Society (SCPF)
● Surrey Photographic Association (SPA)
A great way to challenge yourself and gain recognition.
